1. Bubbleologist making bubble tea at Bubbleology.
There has been lots of hype surrounding the opening of Bubbleology on Rupert Street. It's barely 2 weeks old, but already they have tons of fans on Facebook. I first heard about this brand new cafe through my Taiwanese friends who are all crazy about bubble tea. I decided I had to try it since I was in town.

2. They have bubble tea down to a science.
The decor is pretty creative with a science lab theme going on. Even the staff (called Bubbleologists) wore lab coats as they mixed concoctions. Truth be told, the artificial colouring in the drinks scared me a little.

3. Overly sweet vanilla-flavoured, powdered "tea" with yummy, chewy tapioca pearls done to perfection.
While the drink was way too sweet for my liking (but I heard that's the way the Taiwanese like it), the tapioca pearls were perfect with just the right amount of bounciness. I could nom on the pearls all day long.

6. London 2012.
London's sort of gearing up for the Olympics. While you can't see the Olympics merchandise/souvenirs every where, there are such official shops selling the goods.

ReplyDelete:P You know I actually checked your blog just 2 days ago to see if there was anything new? How I keep you in my heart constantly. Hullo!!! I love your heart glasses! It looks very nice on you with the leather jacket. LOL@bubbleologist. Im surprised you can wear shorts already. We've had bursts of 18 celcius but it's mostly 10 right now, so freezing cold.
Please talk to me again soon? Please post more pictures of yourself soon? Okay.
*read that in peter griffin's voice

ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your trip! I haven't visited London, but I'm hoping that I'll have that experience one day. Looks like you had a great time and I would love to try bubble tea from that place! The deco is fairly interesting since it shows you how it's made
ReplyDeleteAw you're back! Hello dearie, we've all missed you!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit, of course. You look so cool! The floral shorts add the perfect touch of girly :)
This Bubbleology place sounds like fun. I like the little pump bottles with "element" labels and the lab coats. It's interesting how many names there are for bubble tea. Where I am, I hear people call it pearl tea, tapioca tea, and most of the people I know call it "boba".
Anyway, I look forward to more London posts! Take care! <3
Fantastic photographs! I love your heart glasses and that gorgeous ring :) So glad that they are bringing in more bubble tea places to London, as well...just followed your lovely blog :)

Cute outfit and your nails are so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThe Olympic restructuring of parts of London breaks my heart. I know that it's selfish but some things are fine as they were. I love London as it is warts and all I see know need for this superficial clean-up. Good post.
ReplyDeleteLove your jacket! I wanna goooo there. Lol. I'll just have to wait for the future. xD
ReplyDeletenice photos and cute glasses :) great post
