Isis Queen

Disclosure: The Isis dress was sponsored by Chi-chi

A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be sponsored a second dress by Chi-chi (the first being the very sexy Teodora dress). I think I have a special kind of fate with Chi-chi as when ever I am on the lookout for a party dress, I miraculously get an email from them. This time, I needed a dress for a photoshoot I was about to do and their email couldn't have come at a more fitting time.

The dress I chose was the very pretty Isis dress.

[Credits to: Chi-chi]

I have complimented Chi-chi before on their detailed descriptions and this is no different. The pleated details on the bust, the diamantes on the waistline (which were really pretty and shiny in real life) and the padded bust were all exactly as described.

I was very excited when I received the dress as it's true to picture and layerings/nettings under the skirt made it slightly pouffy; just the right amount of playfulness.

I usually wear a size UK10 and that's the size I chose, but perhaps because I've lost a teeny bit of weight, it was a little loose. Luckily the elasticated back held up my dress just fine and avoided any free-shows *ahem*

Chi-chi has a plethora of fabulous designs and I can assure you the quality of their dresses are top-notch. Their prices are also very reasonable, starting from as low as £11.99! I know, right?!

Go check out Chi-chi for more beautiful dresses for all occasions. They ship worldwide!

Hiatus

Well I thought it'd be fairly obvious that I'm presently on a hiatus. I didn't want to write a "hiatus" post informing the world that I'm on a hiatus as that seems a bit presumptuous on my part that people care. But then the boyf said I should at least make a quick announcement lest people get pissed off. Pissed off?! Really? Do people get pissed off when others don't update their blogs? Hmmm...interesting.

So yes, here is my hiatus post, but not before I do a quick, random update on what I've been up to...sort of.

I did my blood test and was told my cholesterol was a wee bit high. Just a wee bit, no cause for concern. I can't believe I've reached the age where I actually will have to think about what I stuff in my mouth. Joy.

My birthday came and went. Doesn't mean much when Nick's not around.

I went on a little holiday to Bangkok, Thailand, with a couple of friends. Not for my birthday, but it was a good pre-birthday break.

Any break from work is fantastic, really.

Oh, the big break prior to that was the week-long Chinese New Year break. It was pretty darn awesome having not celebrated CNY properly for the past 6 years.

I've been watching a bit of good ol' British stand-up and I LOVE Sarah Millican. She is such a riot. I admire women in comedy especially those who can keep it clean...well, sort of. Michael Mcintyre is great, as well.

Anywayz, I'm just generally busy and tired with stuff, so I'm giving this blog a break. I will be back once things are a little more settled.

Thanks for reading all this while.

Hope you've been well
xx

Project Pan 10 (Part 2)

Yes, I do know I am very late in posting up my Project Pan 10 (Part 2). Excuse my tardiness.

6) KAO Essential - Hair Essence
This was also part of my haul from Singapore*click* in December 2011. Though I've been using Kao Essential products for several years, this was my first time trying out the Hair Essence. Sad to say, other than the lovely smell, this did nothing for my hair.

7) KAO Essential - Conditioner (Rich Premier)
I always seem to have way too much conditioner leftover. Even when I have to start on a new bottle of shampoo, I'd find that I'd still take awhile to finish up the conditioner from the previous bottle.
This worked really well when I first started using it. It really did moisturize my hair and made it smoother and softer.

8) KAO Essential - Shampoo (Nuance Airy)
It's funny that in December 2011, I said that I had no intention of switching brands, but this is in fact my last bottle of Kao. When I was first introduced to it many, many bottles ago (I've gone through both the pink and orange ranges), I really did think it was good on my hair. However, since coming back to Malaysia, due to the hot and humid weather, my hair's been really dry and frizzy. Perhaps my hair has gotten "immune" to it, I don't know. It's time to switch!

9) KAO Essential - Conditioner (Nuance Airy)
Same story with the shampoo. To be honest, I cannot tell the difference between the Rich Premier (Orange) and Nuance Airy (Pink).

10) Lux - Shower gel
Nothing special. I finished this so I threw it in together with my Project Pan 10 hehe...

If Part 1*click* was more on Hada Labo products, Part 2 leaned heavily towards KAO Essential.
I will continue posting Project Pan 10 posts, periodically.
Hope these short empties posts helps.

Swallow print sweater

Happy New Year!

Have any of you made any new year's resolutions? I used to be the kind of person who makes a list of resolutions and then promptly forget about it like two weeks into the new year lol. Now I just don't bother. I guess if I really wanted change, I can always do it at any time during the year, right?

But I guess if I had to make a new year's resolution for this blog, it'd be to be more consistent with updates. So here I am with my first outfit post of 2013.

How adorable is this sweater?

Just looking at all the little swallows make me happy and I love the detailing of the gold-tipped collar. And guess what? The collar is detachable so I can totally pair it with something else!

I like dressing up, I do, but there are definitely many days when I prefer to just lounge around in a simple t-shirt. The t-shirt below is apparently made from organic cotton. It really is very light and comfy. I heard V-necks make you look slimmer so this t-shirt is definitely top marks in my books.

Oasap Galaxy Print tee

Galaxy print chiffon t-shirt: Oasap
Studded headband: Taiwan
Studded clutch: Taiwan
Studded flats: Taiwan

Is it too late to join the galaxy print trend? Nahhh...
I do regret hopping on so late, though.

Love this tee from Oasap as it's super comfy, I kinda feel as if I was walking around in my pajamas. I like the fact is has an asymmetrical cut, as well. Adds more character to it.

Oasap has tons of galaxy print stuff here*click*

These are some of the ones I'm eyeing.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!!
