Nothing is vintage



Dress: London
Preppy spectacles: DIY-ed from 3D glasses
Flower ring (part of a set): H&M
Alexa-inspired satchel: Blogshop
Lace up floral brogues: New Look


This look is a vintage-inspired one. However, nothing is truly vintage as everything I wore was either purchased from the high street or from online blogshops.

Frankly, it's very difficult for me to find vintage clothing that I really like. I own quite a few pieces of vintage jewellery, but I think only one vintage jumper. That's really odd because the city I'm living in is full of vintage shops. Vintage fashion has really caught on in the last couple of years, but I noticed that this city especially has a slight obsession with all things vintage. In fact, the pioneers of the vintage fairs I usually go to, come from this city. I love going to these fairs and I love browsing in a vintage store, but I've no idea why I can't seem to find more stuff.

In other news, April, who blogs at Delicately Fierce, is organizing an outfit contest. I thought since I regularly post my outfits anyway, I might as well submit this one as an entry. So here's my entry for the contest :D

Oh, oh, remember how I mentioned in my last post that I never ever won any blog giveaways until now? Well, it seems that lady luck is on my side as I won another 2 giveaways after that. Yay! One of it is from the lovely Ashley from The Button Boxx.

Her giveaway initally only had one winner, but she generously decided to throw in a second prize at the last minute. What a sweetie! I'm so glad she did because I'm lucky number 2! Here's what I got.

    yea, i find it hard to shop at vintage shops too. keep reminding myself to have an open mind.

    it's easier for me to shop for objects than clothes at vintage shops

    Congrats on your giveaway wins!! I agree with you on vintage. I see so many bloggers with fantastic vintage finds, but I don't have the patience for it. I like vintage inspired pieces, but I don't think I'd go and actually really shop for them.

    LOVE your shoes! Actually the whole look is LOVE! I have a similar bag and ever since I got it I use it nonstop. It matches with so many outfits.

    I have sorta a love/hate like of vintage looks. I'll buy something and love it then suddenly I think it looks strange on me so I abandon it =Y. I always feel it looks better on other people than myself.

    The first pose made me giggle. Do that pose from now on in every photo. Pretty girls (ala you) can wear those lensless glasses for fun but when a guy does it I always feel like he better be good looking or else it looks stupid :S I dunno, girls can wear anything.

    Someone posted a bag like that from primark a while back :O See how good I am at UK culture!

    Your blue balloon skirt is one of my fav. outfits yet. It's so quirky, I like~ And it has pockets. Skirts with pockets.

    I heard wagamama so many times from so many ppl. This must be one of the best restaurants in england or sth :S Does england have ajisen ramen yet? Not the most incredible thing you've ever tasted but certainly not bad!

    You left a comment on May 30th that I never got a chance to reply to. (sorry... -_-) I would like to say, I had no idea House played in Malaysia either :S In hk I don't see the general youngins following american shows *too* much? Like they enjoy hk/japanese tv stuff more I think.

    Yes I heard of your UK TV license lolol it made me laugh when I first found out. We don't have TV license in Canada because that is a stupid thing, almost as dumb as traffic congestion charges. If you tried to tax ppl who drove to downtown Toronto I think the protestors would split the earth in half. You DO have to pay for the amount of TVs you have in your house when you first buy a house and install cable period (but you don't actually have to. ppl use cable splitters and never get caught). Other than that it's just a monthly cable service fee, that's all we pay! =D

    I think you should get an antenna or something at least. I lived without TV for 4 years when I lived on campus and honestly... I did miss it a lot. Just to have something talking in the background while I'm using the computer, cooking, reading. It's a useful thing even if reruns are free. Look into this - see if there's a cheap way to watch TV~~

    Will and Kate are in canada. Your favourite couple :) And they skipped Toronto T_T SO I NEVER EVEN GOT TO SEE THEM HMPH!!!
