Hong Kong: Charlie Brown Cafe

Happy New Year!!

I was away in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong (and now back in Singapore, again) during the Xmas and New Year holidays. I'm sorry this is turning into a travel blog of sorts, but it's just very hard to blog about everyday outfits and fashion when I'm running around like that. I promise fashion updates will resume once I'm settled.

Just so I don't leave this blog idle for too long, I'd like to share with you pictures I took at the Charlie Brown Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. I met up with some University friends there for desert after dinner. None of them have been to this cafe before despite being Hong Kong-ers. One of them said only tourists like me would want to visit quirky places (aka themed cafes) like that hehe.

The decorations were really cute, but I'm not sure if I'd ever return. The drinks weren't impressive and the cake was mediocre. We didn't try any of the hot food because we'd just had dinner. However, even if we hadn't, I wouldn't think I'd pay those prices for food that we can get for cheaper elsewhere around Hong Kong. I know there are branches in Singapore and Malaysia and I was tempted to try those, too, but I'll probably give those a miss now after reading a couple of reviews.

I would recommend this only to Snoopy fans or fans of themed cafes who wish to hang out some place quirky and take lots of pictures.

  1. Oh i went there when i went to Hong Kong in the summer! I agree though. It was quite expensive for what it was. Think the price included the "experience". I found it fairly small to be honest! But all in all, it was still quite cute ^-^

  7. This cafe is so cute! If I was ever in the area, I would go just for the sake of going because it's unique. You don't see many themed cafes in the US :)

  15. The interiors of the cafe looks so good and photo ready. Too bad the items on the menu is not as good, I guess you're paying for the ambience. I feel you, I don't mind if you don't post outfit shots that often. Variety is nice. :)

    Happy New Year, Joey! :)

  16. I enjoy seeing travel posts! It is fashion in a way, to see the way other people dress on an everyday basis in their countries, and the aesthetic of the photos are gorgeous! Looks like you had an amazing end of the year! Are you officially back in Singapore now?
