Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On

So I bought this Majolica Majorca set a couple of months ago and now I'm finally going to review the Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On.

I understand that not all of my readers have heard of Majolica Majorca. When some of my colleagues asked me to share the brand of the mascara I use, I said, "Majolica Majorca" and they said, "What!"
Well, it's actually the sister brand of Shiseido. Yes, I know. You'd never have got that from the name. Ah, them and their fancy names.

I have actually been a loyal fan of Dejavu's mascaras. I've used Fiberwig and Lash Knockout and really, really like both of them. I wasn't actually even thinking about changing...ever. Those were my holy grails. However, you see, like a lot of ladies (and men. Hey, it's a free world) with make up out there, despite having a HG product, my eyes still wander and my hands get itchy. I'm not big on make up, but I always need my lipstick, my eyeliner and my mascara. These, I'm happy to play around with.

So anyway, I was pretty much set for life with Dejavu's mascaras and note that this was after trying out several others before I found The One. So it came as a complete surprise when I fell in love with Majolica Majorca's Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On. Wow, what a mouthful. But seriously, this mascara is the bomb!

I wear this to work almost (because some days I'd rather get an extra few minutes sleep) every day and it has never failed me. It lasts all day long, doesn't flake, doesn't smudge and is super waterproof-ed.

The lenghtening effect is SO good. It opens up my eyes and I have actually gotten a few compliments that my eyes look really big *shy*

The tube is very pretty in that signature MM style.

As you can see, the applicator is a comb. It's double-sided where one side is wide-toothed and the other fine-toothed. Personally, I prefer to use the fine-toothed side only because I feel every eyelash gets a bit of mascara. I don't have much clumping issues with this mascara, but I find that if I use the wide-toothed side, it does clump sometimes.

Look, I know. My pictures do not do it justice. I wish I had a fancy HD camera, but I don't. You'll just have to take my word for it. The lenghtening and volumnizing effect is so much clearer in person.

Alright, the bad news. Since it's so fantastico and lasts practically forever (one day), it is almost inevitable that removing it can be a little difficult. I use an oil-based eye make-up remover and it does the job pretty well, but sometimes, it still leaves a bit of mascara on. I know this is a huge no-no, but sometimes I have to use a little bit of pressure to wipe it off and sadly, sometimes, this results in a few of my precious eyelashes falling off *sad face*

Still, overall, it's a darn good mascara! *two thumbs up*

P/S:
- The free red curler that came with the set is pretty good, too. I like its unique red colour. I use it in combination with the mascara so I guess they are a good match. However, I don't like the fact that the rubber is white in colour because it's super obvious when it gets dirty.

- I'm sorry I won't be reviewing the Jeweling Pencil because I actually much prefer using liquid eyeliners. I'll be giving this one away, so keep an eye out if you're interested!

K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo eyeliner

Disclosure: The K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo eyeliner was sponsored by Beauty Carousel, but this review is written based on my honest opinions.

I personally thought K-Palette was very bold in making claims like waterproof, non-smudge, real lasting, 24 hours etc., basically everything you'd want in an eyeliner, yes?

To put it to the test, I drew a line on my hand and ran my hand under warm water. It didn't fade at all! I was well impressed, but how would it fare on my eyelids?

Made in Japan, the eyeliner comes with a patented micro-fiber fine brush tip which makes it easy to draw and offers superb control. The tip is sharp, but soft so it's good for creating the wing-tips at the corner of your eyes. It creates very crisp, clean lines; the look I usually go for.

I drew on my usual wing-tipped style before I left for work and it lasted pretty much the whole day. Yes, some tiny parts did flake a little, but overall it still looked good and didn't need reapplying at all. I wore it from morning and removed it when I came home. It's definitely much better than a lot of other liquid eyeliners I've used. Still, I suppose I wouldn't recommend it to those with very oily lids.

Smudge-wise, it's pretty tough. This eyeliner doesn't give me racoon eyes at the end of the day.

One grudge I do have with this is that naming it Super Black can be a bit misleading as it's not majorly pigmented and definitely not super black. Yes, it's dark, but not as intensed as I'd expect it to be given the name. However, putting on a second layer does the trick.

1) Draw

2) Rinse

3) Rub vigorously under running water

My Beauty Diary Mixed Berry Mask review

My Beauty Diary (MBD) originates from Taiwan and their facial sheet masks are a huge hit in Asia. I started using MBD masks when I was in the UK and always have several boxes as back up.

Today I'll be reviewing the Mixed Berry Mask.
Functions: Brightening and firming

Pros:
It's really moisturising, like most of the other MBD masks. My skin feels hydrated and has the toing! toing! effect after each application.

After remoing the sheet, I massage the leftover essence into my skin and it absorbs pretty quickly and doesn't leave a sticky feeling. It completely sinks into my skin.

Even if it's just a temporary effect, my skin definitely feels softer and smoother!

No break outs.

Cons:
I dislike the smell. The scent reminds me very strongly of medicine, specifically antibiotics. Yuck! I literally had to force myself to use these masks and I was super glad when it came to the final sheet. This is just personal preference though and scents are very subjective.

The brightening and firming effects aren't very obvious and if any, are only temporary, anyway.

 How I use it:
1) Cleanse face
2) Apply sheet mask for 20-30 minutes
3) Remove sheet mask
4) Gently massage the remaining essence on my face until fully absorbed
5) Apply moisturiser to seal in the essence

I'm a firm fan of My Beauty Diary masks, but I definitely wouldn't be re-purchasing this only because of the scent. I know many people say they love the smell of this mask, but it just didn't cut it for me. And yes, I'm very sure the ones I bought aren't fake nor expired.

Please note that there are plenty of fake My Beauty Diary masks (and other cosmetics and skincare items for that matter) out there. So do get them from reliable sources as you don't want to be messing with your skin.
