A Fashion Story

When asked to select some of my favourite pieces at A Fashion Story, I literally took hours because there were just so many that I liked and it was a tough choice narrowing it down to the pieces below.

One is definitely spoilt for choice at A Fashion Story. They most definitely have something for everyone be it a girly girl, a classy lady, a rocker chick or everyone else in between.

The thing that attracted me the most is how super affordable their items are. I can definitely do some major hauling here. Rings from RM3.90 (USD1.20) and earrings from RM6.90 (USD2.20)? Yes, please!

Have a last minute party to attend?
No time to shop for that hot date?
Forgot to buy a gift for your friend's birthday?
No worries!

All their items are ready stocks, so you can get the items a day after you've placed your order (if you're in Malaysia). Don't fret, they also post worldwide and their postage rates are very reasonable!

Look at how trendy their pieces are!

How I paired some of their pieces.

June, the owner, is such a lovely girl to work with and she lovingly takes photos of some of her products so you get pictures of the actual items. Someone who takes pride in her business and puts so much effort into presenting her products in the best light is definitely a trustworthy seller in my books.

Since Christmas and New Year's is around the corner, they are offering discounts!!

1.      20% discount for ALL  Rings, Long Necklace & Hair Accessories

2.      Discounts up to 40% off your entire purchase

Shopping at Sg Wang

Bat wing-sleeve shirt: Random blogshop
Bird cage necklace: Gift
Skirt: Singapore
Vintage bag: Singapore

Birthday gift from the bestie

A couple of days ago, a Uni friend came to visit, so we went shopping. It was my first proper (clothes) shopping trip since I got back. Most of you know that I've been job-hunting, so I didn't have the money nor the need to shop seeing as I'm home all the time (diligently refreshing my email), so there really is no need for fancy clothes.

However, I have landed myself a job (yay!) and decided to allow myself this little shopping trip before my first paycheck. Hey, hey I was using my angpau (red packet) money from Chinese New Year, ok? :P

We headed to Sungei Wang and this is my little shopping haul.

I really needed some new shorts because I've been wearing the same two pairs of denim shorts. I decided to not be boring and venture into colourful shorts. The yellow pair was a bit of an impulse (I mean, yellow? Really??), but hello, at RM15 I couldn't exactly not buy it. It'd be an insult!

Hello Kitty ear caps

I seem to have quite a bit of Hello Kitty stuff for someone who never used to like Hello Kitty...

Japanese buffet

Bow necklace: H&M
Jumper: H&M
Skirt: Singapore
Vintage bag: Singapore

My last post was about what I wore to my pre-birthday dinner, so it would only make sense to show you what I wore on my actual birthday. In comparison, I was much more toned down due to 2 reasons:
1) It was a family affair
2) I needed to wear something loose and comfortable because we were going for a Japanese buffet!

Enjoy the food pics!

Sushi
A delectable assortment of sushi.

Sashimi
Fresh sashimi that is constantly topped up.

The first plate I took
I know that eating too much sushi fills you up, but how could I resist?

Fresh oysters
Unlimited supply of fresh oysters, but means nothing to me because I don't like them slimey things.

Teppanyaki
You could select whatever vegetables you want and they would grill it for you on the spot.

Scallops, soft-shelled crab and sashimi
I love soft-shelled crabs!

K-ki
Haha my cousin nieces and nephews took some little cakes and ice cream, arranged them as above and presented it to me for my birthday haha

All Black

Lace cut out back oversized shirt: eBay
Statement necklace: Random market
Asymmetric skirt: Wholesale Dress
Draped wrap skirt: Random blogshop
Envelope bag: Hong Kong
 Peep-toe wedge boots: New Look

Finally, an outfit post with tons of outfit pics to boost.

I was seriously considering changing my blog name to just "everyday". I apologize to those of you who've just discovered my blog and felt cheated by my blog name. In my defense, I gathered from the feedback I got during my giveaway awhile ago that many of you would like more varied posts such as product reviews, travel logs and random daily posts. Of course, there were many who voted for more outfit posts as well, so I hereby solemnly swear promise to post more outfit posts. I will!

Anywayz, I wore this outfit to my pre-birthday dinner on Saturday with the bestie and her man.
It was an event I deemed important enough to justify me overdressing.
Yes, I turned 26 over the weekend.

That mustard maxi skirt

Jjang t-shirt: HomeTooMuch
Birds in Wonderland necklace: To February
Mustard maxi skirt: Bugis Street, Singapore
Mustard bag: Bugis Street, Singapore

My first outfit post of the year. Finally. I know it's not much, but I've just moved back to Malaysia and trying to adapt to my surroundings. I'm ashamed to say that I've been living (too comfortably) in tees and shorts *hangs head in shame*

I'm not sure yet where to take outfit shots, so please bear with me while I experiment around the house. This mirror shot was taken in the guest room, so do excuse the background.

Mustard was really hot (geddit? geddit?) for A/W '11. However, not one to discard pieces just because it's no longer trendy, I foresee myself wearing these pieces for a good part of the coming year.

Monthly Market

Birds in Wonderland necklace: To February
Set of animal rings: H&M
Heart-shaped sunglasses: H&M
Floral blue skirt: H&M
Royal Wedding tote bag: London

How I went from wearing coats and knee-high socks to t-shirts and flip flops in October, I'll never know. That's just British weather for you.

A monthly market has recently opened near my place, so I decided to pop down to have a look. It's quite an interesting market with all sorts of random knick knacks and food.

I simply couldn't resist making some purchases.

September heatwave

Shirt dress: H&M
Two finger ring chain: eBay
Zipper metal body chain: Won in a giveaway

I'm in love with this big zipper metal body chain/necklace I won in a giveaway by The Petite Blogger. It was handmade by Jenna, herself! I love how edgy it is and I can wear it so many ways. Thanks, Jenna!

I made a body chain harness once and absolutely loved it, but sadly the chains started to change colour after a couple of months. I didn't expect that to happen (though I should have), so I didn't really keep it in a bag or anything *sad face*

Anywayz, this is going to be a bit of a random post, so I'll throw in some photos to show you what I've been up to the past week.

Got my hands on some Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks

Ran down to London again, but on my own this time as I had some things to sort out for my Aunt. These things accompanied me on my 2 hours plus train journey.

The familiar Underground sign. It was so stuffy due to the "heatwave".

Random flower in my Aunt's garden. I thought it was beautiful!

That's it! Hope everyone's been well!
xx
