Just chillin'

So life has been dull. I've been working on my dissertation day in, day out. I can't believe I'm putting myself through this torture, again. After my undergraduate degree, I swore never to go back to school, but look where I am now. The worst bit is that I've already written a dissertation for my undergrad, so this is my second one. Once was enough to nearly kill me, why I'm doing another one I've no idea. This Master's better land me a high-flying job where I can just bum around sipping overpriced coffee and occasionally sign a document or two. I kid. Even people with a Permanent head Damage are out of work these days, what more little ol' me. Sighhh

I wore this when I went out with a few of my friends for the second day of Tramlines Festival. I was really dressed down and just wore plimmies. My friends (wrongly) predicted that I would dress up (because I overdress sometimes haha) so they all wore heels. One girl even wore one that was about 5 inches! Luckily, I decided to throw on some accessories at the last minute, so I wasn't too shabby, I don't think. I think this is about the only way I can wear a usamimi headband without feeling overly cutesy. Keep everything simple and add a pop of bright red on the top of my head. Nice!

As you can guess, this post was rather pointless other than to bombard you with photos of me, me, me. You're probably thinking, "What on earth?? She's wearing a white tee and some shorts! Surely that doesn't deserve an entire post of its own" And you're right, so let me show you my nails. Ta-dah!

  3. No way! I think I plain white slouchy tee shirt with distress denim shorts qualify for a post on its own too. Anyway I love the simple laidback look. The fact that it's a slouchy white tee with fluidity and not just some white tee makes it unique, and of coz together with the red bunny hairband. You always have such cute accessories and I love what you did to your nails. Really love the polka dotted tips.

  9. I love the first photo! The black and white with the pop of red looks amazing :) I think the headband is a nice touch to an otherwise simple outfit. Love your nails too, especially the pink dotted tips! I have the HK nail stickers too but have no idea what to do with them - you've given me some great inspiration! ^_^

  10. hahaha funny you mention that sometimes friends predicts us to overdress x) sometimes that happens to me too, i like to dress all pretty if i'm going out for coffee, it's not like i'm going all formal or anything, i just like putting different outfits together and sometimes my friends feel a bit dressed down compared to me. I even avoid heels because i'm already 1.74cm (=68.5 inches) so my best girl friends won't feel bad about being smaller than me : < But in festivals i wear more plain outfits, i think it's works better if i accessorize. ^^ nice look, and yeah the headband it's cute but not overly cutesy x3

  23. Dissertation? Are you getting your PHD or Masters? OH MY GOD... you're insane. And wow, I'm impressed.

I think the outfit is actually really cute. It takes a lot to make something effortless and simple chic, and you did it with no issues.

Now the nails??? Not sure I would ever have that type of energy or will power, but it's really, really cute!

Good luck on your 2nd dissertation though I know you don't need it. I attempted to study to go back to school to get my masters in business administration and was like...er I can't even motivate myself to study for the GMAT so how would I be able to do school! hahaha and I always overdress for everything toO!
