DBeautyShop Geo Jazz Coffee review

Today, I'll be reviewing the GEO Jazz Coffee circle lenses.
Disclosure: These lenses were sponsored by DBeautyShop , a Malaysian-based online store that sells circle lenses. DBeautyShop did not dictate what should or should not be in this review and thus this review is written based on my honest opinions.

The company ships worldwide. Packaging was adequate with secure bubble wrapping around the vials and everything was sent in a bubble envelope. They offer a free animal lens case with every pair of circle lenses purchased. I got pink fishies this time!

Note the subtle difference

Comfort: 3/5
These lenses are relatively comfortable and I forget that they are there after a couple of minutes. However, even though it says that the water content is 38% (like most of my other circle lenses), I can only wear it for 4-6 hours after which my eyes will start to feel really dry.

Enlargement: 3/5
As these are only 14.0mm in diameter, I didn't expect them to have much of an enlarging effect. This suits me just fine as I always prefer the natural look.
*I wear circle lenses in every single photo of me you've seen on this blog so you know I go for subtlety*

You may wonder why a higher rating isn't awarded as these lenses are clearly larger than my iris, but actually, there are circle lenses with even wider diameters like 15.0, 16.0 and 17.0mm. Those would definitely give you the dolly-eye effect and I think those deserve higher ratings for iris enlargement.
However, that is not to say that you should discount circle lenses with lower ratings for iris enlargement because for people like me, we're happy that the enlargement effect is subtle. I know I speak for a lot of ladies when I say that I wished the manufacturers would produce new 14.0mm designs for circle lenses. It seems that a lot of companies these days are competing to have the widest diameter without taking into account what the consumers really feel most comfortable with.

Colour: 1/5
*note that a 5/5 score would mean that the colour's very obvious even while indoors*
These lenses offer no colour change except maybe when I use flash photography. I still gave it a 1 because I like the light brown ring around the lenses because this makes the enlargement look really natural and blends into the eyes easily.

How much do I like them? 3/5

Time for vain selca pics

Thanks, DBeautyShop for sponsoring these lenses!

  10. looks really pretty!
wow, i didn't know it can last to a year.
when i got circle lenses, they lasted roughly 3 months before they became dry.
they were just uncomfortable after the third month so i had to dispose them.

  13. The lens look really natural on you. If you didn't mention anything, I wouldn't have known you were wearing them from afar. Though with the close up photos, I could see the edges and tell that they're circle lens. I think I should get some of these 1 year disposable ones. Most of my lens now were given by my friend who used to work as Ciba Vision. Hehe.. but she has quit and recently there's news about how manufacturers in China has manufactured fake Freshlook lenses that even optical shops didn't know. That's how bad it is. =(

  14. You look adorable. :) I've always wanted to try circle lenses, but a bit weary about buying them online... haha. I'm paranoid like that... but only because it's something I'm putting into my eye...  I still really want to try, though.

Hope you're having a great day!

    xx Love & Aloha

  19. Hmmm, I had no idea you are wearing circle lenses in all your photos! I like these ones--they look very natural. If I were to ever try circle lenses, I would pick something similar. For some reason, I like to be sneaky with my beauty enhancements :)

I've been lax with my commenting lately, sorry! I think you should browse the boards on Pinterest if you find the time. Other users find and share such cool stuff.  I find so many inspiring images on Pinterest, maybe you will too!

I hope you've been taking care and not working Too hard!

  21. you don't look like wearing contact lenses, i guess that's good because it gives you a more natural look :) even if sometimes i love to see japanese girls with that hugeee lenses, i think it's better if you have ones with a smaller diameter ^^ oh and the lens case, i've seen those around with the pink piggys, it's soooooo adorable! it makes me wanna buy the contach lenses so i can have the piggy case for my everyday lenses *o* ahaha x)

  23. O I agree with other’s comment, Ur look, looks very natural!

    * If you google/youtube, you’ll c chinese news reporter saying that they were “ pushing” the trains down in order to clean the ways for the other operating trains. I don’t know exactly how, maybe they use the digger or something. & They push it when they claim there are NO MORE LIFE ACTIVITY on the train.

  28. I tried colored lenses too and they seriously dried out my eyes. I just did a review on some grey lenses. I love the color, but its so hard to wear them because I have to constantly put eye drops in. Haha. You should try grey! It's a very natural color in my opinion, especially blended in with brown eyes. :)
