September GlossyBox products review

Ah, I bet you thought I'd forgotten, didn't you? Not that you were on the edge of your seats waiting for my full review on the September GlossyBox. Huh? What do you mean it's November? Oh, yeah it is 11.11.11, isn't it? Ah well, better late than never, right? So incase any of you were still interested in the products after seeing my unboxing post here*click*, here's a proper review after using them for some weeks.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse: This is my first time using dry oil and I love it. Firstly, this smells wonderful! Secondly, it does make my skin feel smoother. Since this is a multi-usage dry oil, it's definitely not too oily on the skin. When I rub the oil on, it feels oily for about a split-second and then it soaks into my skin completely. It just disappears. Magic! I cannot stand products that make my skin feel oily/greasy, so this is perfect. By the way, it says it's suitable for face, body and hair use, but I only used it on my arms and legs. This is just personal preference as I already have creams and stuff for my face and don't like overloading my hair too much.
A little goes a long way so I'm thinking these 2 bottles will last me through winter. Yeap, I liked it so much, I swapped another one of my products for another bottle of Nuxe. This time, I got the one with the gold shimmer. This one provides a nice shimmer to your skin. I do like it, but I don't like how it leaves tons of shimmer on my palms.

Plum by Mary Greenwell Eau de Parfum: I actually quite like the smell, though I'm not sure if I'd purchase the full bottle. It's nice, but just not something I see myself using frequently. In fact, I tested this twice when I first got it and it's now sitting inside my drawer.

L'Oréal Professional Mythic Oil: This smells SO good! I use it on towel-dried hair, concentrating on the ends. The pump is great for controlling the amount I need for my near waist-length hair (two pumps). The product doesn't make my hair look greasy and it doesn't feel oily. It definitely does make my hair smoother and softer immediately after use. The size of this is so generous, too. I've used this quite frequently (except for when I was away on holiday), but it's no where near a quarter used.

StriVectin SD Eye Concentrate: I mentioned in my unboxing post that I wasn't too excited about using anti-wrinkle creams, but I gave this a try anyway. The good news is that my skin didn't react badly to it and I didn't have breakouts or anything. The bad news is, I didn't see any results, to be honest.
I applied it once/twice a day around my orbital bone, as instructed. The cream goes on smoothly and was very easy to pat into my skin. After about 2 weeks, I can't say I saw any noticeable difference. That said, I don't have eye wrinkles, don't usually have problems with dark eye cirles and my eye bags aren't that bad (most of the time anyway) I don't think, so I guess it wouldn't have much of an effect on me. I have read reviews and I know a lot of ladies swear by it, so I suppose I'll give it a try again in the future.

HD Brows Eye&Brow Palette: I'm one of those ladies who don't like faffing about with my eyebrows, so even if I tried, I really wouldn't be able to do this palette justice. I'm also terrible at reviewing most make up (I'll leave those to the beauty gurus), so I hope swatches would do...sorry :(

Okie dokie, hope these reviews were at least a teeny bit useful.

This GlossyBox was gifted to me for review purposes

  3. I wonder what dry-oil means :o it sounds good tho, because I don't like oily/greasy products that needs an hour to be absorbed into the skin.
The Mystic Oil by L'Oreal sounds nice aswell :) but I wonder if it makes your hair 'heavy' after you put
    them on your hair :o
Bummer about the SD Eye Concentrate product!
