Versace for H&M

Now I know that everyone and their mother's cat have talked about the upcoming Versace for H&M collection. However, I simply couldn't resist and had to write a blog post of my own about this very exciting collaboration. How could I not? It's Versace for fashion's sake!

I like that this collection seems to be much bigger than the Lanvin for H&M collection (correct me if I'm wrong) which means more selection. I'll admit there are some things that made me go, "What was Versace thinking?!", but equally, there were pieces that made me squeal in delight and I now covet. The bold prints and bright colours looked amazing on the runway, but I've a feeling if I walked down the high street here wearing some of those things, I'd invite stares and sniggers. Luckily, there are plenty of "wearable" pieces, too.

Anywayz, I did a bit of online window-shopping and these are the pieces I'm most interested in. Let's just imagine for a sec that my bank account is at an extremely healthy state, so much so that I could just splurge on frivolous things without a thought. I mean, let's face it, even though the Versace for H&M collabo is supposed to provide us peasants er, average consumers an opportunity to own a piece of luxury designer good at an affordable price, the prices for most of these pieces are still hardly affordable for most...or to me, at least. Still, one can dream, I suppose.

And on with the list.

What do you think? What are your favourite pieces from the collection?

The winner of the Shabby Apple giveaway is Danielle Villano. She has been contacted and her prize should be on its way. Thank you to everyone who participated.

  4. I think it's a great collaboration. I love the black dress and the skirt you picked out. I'm not sure if I will be buying anything (totally wish I could splurge though) but those two are my picks!

  5. I tried to have a look on the H&M website, but was then completely scared off by the blaring music that came out of my laptop speakers when I clicked the Versace for H&M Collection link!

But from what I saw before hastily making my departure from the site, I thought the silk scarves were quite lovely. From your photos I like them, and the necklace and the first bag the most! Thanks for blogging about this, it negates me from having to make another trip back to the site! I am aware that I can mute it, and can mute my own laptop speakers too, but I usually listen to music from them! Haha...

  6. Personally, I liked Lanvin collab better. Maybe because of the pieces were more wearable for normale days :o Versace is more.. avant garde :P
But yes I like her babydoll dresses ^^ so cute! And this flashy neon dress with studs that I've spot
    recently on a advert!

  7. I hate H&M, and I am not a fan of this collaboration.  However, I love the boots.  I really, really love the boots.

  11. Wow the dresses are really something! They look so high class and fabulous. But if I didn't know better, I would've thought the scarves came from one of those asian popup shops floating in the middle of malls selling scarves for $15 =/

  15. Most of all I like the red dress, the shape is quite uncommon but is one of the piece which doesn't make me look like an animal out of zoo like you said in this post :) unfortunately in the H&M Store of Turin (my city) the collection won't be available! :(

  16. and I'm back.

hullo! How do you do lass. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, I dont know anything about fashion but is the collaboration "desirable" or less desirable? Is it produced by versace or made by h&m with versace designs. I wouldnt even line up for an iphone, much less clothing. Girls :P But I suppose somehow I'm going to get dragged into lining up for this.... good info nonetheless.

I read all your vacationing pix and I jealousy hate you :O I've never seen the chapel and you got some nice pictures of it!! Not sure I'll ever post about a place as important as that. The risotto is mine btw -_- you were only allowed to take a picture of it. That's mine.

How were you able to see tintin the movie? It's not out in North America yet. No movie ever comes out first in europe :O I'm shocked. I've been waiting forever to see that because I know it is good. ARGH.

Hope you've been well. Actually I KNOW you've been well judging by the photos. Hope school isn't too tough on you~

  23. The black cutout dress is gorgeous and so is the lavender coloured one. Shame that I'm no longer close to an H&M to get some of the dresses. They'll show up on Ebay way over retail :P

  26. I had to get that dress, too, it's so floaty and gorgeous! Sadly, none of the scarves were available in my local store, but I was sorely tempted by the pink one.

  28. It is annoying but is to be expected I suppose. Thats probably why there was a mad dash for it. Quite a few people must have been wanting it to sell! D:
